Brush recommendations?

What kind(s) of brush(es) do you use on your doodles? Gavin's puppy coat has been coming out gradually. He has light wavy fleece on his head, neck, legs and chest with curlier hair along his back. His coat is more golden than poodle. He has been shedding lightly (when brushed) and has not matted (yet).
