Hi all,
I'm Dawn, I live with my husband Dan, my 11yr old son Gabe, and my 20yr old step son Bren.
This past Monday, we suddenly became owners of a 6 month old Goldendoodle from a family who wanted to get rid of her.
They had done NO training at all with her, so we have this 57 pound dog who doesn't know any better at anything.
She doesn't walk on a leash properly, she jumps on people constantly (knocking over my 11yr old) she doesn't know "down" or "stay". We've just got her getting to "sit"...
It's not been a fun week!!!
My husband and I don't seem to agree on how to discipline her for doing things she isn't allowed to do, (jumping on us, chasing the cat, etc) so I'm here to get some ideas, and see how others deal with exuberant puppies.
