Throwing Up?

Hi, I have a 13 1/2 month old standard size Goldendoodle, his name is Noodle. I came across your site in a quest for answers and help in order to better my Noodle's life.

Noodle is a beautiful boy, well-behaved, and the happiest dog in the world. He's a first generation doodle from a Standard Poodle and Golden Retriever. He really is the greatest dog I've ever had! He's a perfect companion for our family.

We adopted him at 19wks of age, and ever since then he has had stomach issues. We've changed his food a zillion times, and finally figured that he was eating to fast. Perhaps he was kennel fed? We feed him tiny portions multiple times a day, and small portions of water as well, but he still throws up all the time. It feels like if we cut back any more he won't get enough to eat in a day!

Occasionally for unknown reasons he goes for a week or two without these issues, and we don't know why. He doesn't seem bothered by these issues at all. The vet has done several extensive exams, and can't find a thing wrong with him.

We love him so much, and I want him to be able to run around the house all the time, but we can't let him with this throwing up constantly, and with a baby on the way. You never know when he'll throw up or how much. It can be right after he eats, or a couple hours later. Lately, it seems mostly related to water? We always keep him with us in the family room. But we can't even keep his bed in the crate with him, cause he ruins them, poor guy! We just donate most of our towels to his cause. I just want more for him! He's happy, doesn't know life any different. But I feel bad for him. I want him to be more integrated in our lives. Any suggestions? Is this common with Doodles?

Thanks,
Jackie
