Goldendoodle Behaviour

How much do you know about Goldendoodle behaviour? Do you ever wish there was a way for you to show off your dogs talent in sports and shows designed for canines? Well, you will soon get your chance. In the past, the AKC or American Kennel Club has supported events for purebred dogs but in the near future, you will be able to receive a registration number for your mixed breed. This means that you will even be able to enter them into a few of the AKC special events.

Once your Goldendoodle has been spayed or neutered they can receive an ID number. This will allow them to take part in some of the rally "stand-alone" events that are designed to show obedience and agility. Stand-alone events are the ones that don't include all-breed or any of the "specialty conformation shows". In other words, you won't be seeing mixed breeds on televised events nor will they be directly competing with the purebred dogs.

However, the fact that you will soon be able to compete at all is a big step for Goldendoodle owners. The change allowing mixed breeds to be a part of this program was brought about partly because the AKC wanted to bring in new members. It was also done so more dog owners would be able to share in the knowledge and passion they have for these adorable animals. Goldendoodle behaviour will now be something that you can share with others.

There are also several perks available for being a member of the AKC. These include receiving a free GGC certificate once the test is passed, coupons for dog supplies, the initial veterinary visit is free and you can receive a discount on the AKC Companion Animal Recovery Lost and Found service. The Goldendoodle is a special breed and you now have the opportunity to show off your dog's talent in a special way. This truly is a great thing for all Goldendoodle owners.
